I had a thought, as I was posting the latest IDF announcement, what if we used the occasion to resurrect a fandom or two? No ouija boards or candles needed, just three or more people who still love a fandom, despite it having gone quiet, and want to produce something for IDF.
So far, five fandoms have been put forward for revival, but others can always be added if there is any interest. Now we need to know who would be interested in joining the revival of a particular fandom? By joining the revival you need to promise to produce a minimum of two pieces of femslash (story, graphic, video or manifesto) for the fandom in question – there is no maximum number – all of which then needs to be submitted for the P&P IDF update. On the day – 20th July – you can also start posting your pieces to all the relevant communities, archives etc. that you can think of and hopefully spark off an avalanche of femslash for your particular fandom.
I cross my heart and swear to produce at least two stories and one graphic for Murder in Suburbia, for instance. How about you? For this to work we really need a minimum of four creators – three if they’re particularly prolific – so don’t be afraid to badger your creative genius friends into signing up too *g*.

Once Upon a Time
Passion & Perfection’s Highlighted Fandom
The everyday story of magic, madness, maidens and curses, with a deliciously evil queen thrown into the mix for that added femslash appeal. Yes, it’s Disney through the Looking Glass, only twice a subtext-tacular.
To start Once Upon a Time’s reign as Highlighted Fandom, how about a little challenge? Or better yet, how about one for writers and one for graphic artists?
1. Create five icons, each featuring a different female character from the OUaT universe OR create one large graphic featuring at least five different female characters (whether or not you include pairings is up to you).
2. Write five drabbles, each featuring a different female character from the OUaT universe OR write one story featuring at least five different female characters and one or more pairings.
It’s that time of year again. Planning is in full force for this year’s International Day of Femslash and FemSlashCon, 14-15th July, with an array of new and exciting events, such as Femslash Radio, an IDF ARG, a bumper Audio-fic Library, and more challenges and ficathons than you can shake a stick at, also scheduled for the weekend.
Once again we need your help to determine which fandoms get their own panel at the convention or show on Femslash Radio. Use the link below to access the Fandom Poll and choose your top fandoms. You can choose up to ten (10). Polling will be open until 4th May so get your votes
We look forwarding to seeing you at FemSlashCon this year.
You have one week in which to complete a line – row, column or diagonal – four corners, four middle squares or a full house on your bingo card by posting a new story, ficlet, drabble, graphic, video or verse that fulfils the prompt inside the square.
Eyes down and prepare for your full house…

Lately, Callie and Arizona have been bringing the fun and the sexy to Seattle Grace, and that looks like continuing next week. Spoilers for the forthcoming episode, obviously…
To help advertise this year’s International Day of Femslash we need your help and graphic skills…
Because I am incredibly, horribly, amazingly, shockingly, appallingly lazy, I’m just posting the link to the livejournal update and not the actual story. Go me! Here it is:
Infamia, final part
It looks like next week will see the welcome return of one of the ladies in Kalinda’s life…
I’ll be posing this question to all the various members of the P&P family and hope to come up with suggestions for a challenge that can be issued in all of them; however, if you have a group/comm/blog/archive specific challenge, we could possible have a second venue-specific challenge on top of the generic one(s).
IDF is fast approaching, and we need a challenge or ficathon to celebrate, and I’m bereft of useable ideas. So any suggestions would be very welcome. It’s not always possible to have a combined story/graphics/video challenge, although that would be wonderful, so if you have a media-specific challenge idea that’s fine-and-dandy. Just let me know.
Also, donning my IDF organiser hat, if you have any suggestions for IDF just pop ‘em in a reply to this.
