ADA Alexandra Cabot was trying hard to pay attention to the Detectives in Capt. Cragen's office, while at the same time sneaking glances out of the corner of her eye, at one Olivia Benson. It has been around seven months since Alex had joined the SVU squad as its ADA, since then she has been finding it difficult to keep both her thoughts and her wandering eyes off the gorgeous Detective. Did she have to be so nice and friendly, was a thought Alex had many times.

Focusing on the Detectives' evidence so far she shook her head negatively, but promptly assured them that they did in fact enough for a search warrant, and hopefully they would find what they needed for an arrest then. Olivia's casual touch of her arm sent shivers of excitement through Alex which she used all her strength to suppress.
"Thanks Alex," Olivia said, "I've got a good feeling about this."
Exiting the station house as quickly as possible Alex found herself trying in vain to bury herself in paperwork. Her thoughts on the other hand remained steadfastly on Olivia, she sighed in frustration.

It wasn't as if thoughts of Olivia were a bad thing, Olivia was after all a good person and an excellent Detective, but Alex seriously needed to get over her hopeless crush on one of New York's Finest. Part of her was saddened that it would go nowhere, that it could go nowhere. Sighing once again Alex focused on her paperwork for the umpteenth time, hoping to at least get some work done.

Olivia made her way to her desk and angled the file folder in her hands to be able to surreptitiously catch a few tantalizing glances at the ADA's body as she left Cragens' office minutes after their meeting. Olivia really did have a good feeling that their guy was the perp, touching Alex was an unpremeditated act which she was happy to note wasn't rejected.
Olivia probably should have felt bad about ogling Alex but after their initial introduction, and getting past her first impressions she couldn't help but notice that Alex was indeed a stunning specimen of good genes, and the female form.

Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Elliot grinning into his coffee. She shrugged faintly, but kept her eyes on Alex. When she passed the double doors, the partners got out of their desks and headed out too, they had to position themselves for when the search warrant would come through.

Outside of the station house Elliot left Olivia waiting while he went to collect their car. Spotting Alex again she couldn't help her eyes roving over her body one more time. Sighing she entered the car her thoughts elsewhere. Elliot was singing under his breath and it took her a while to figure out what it was.

Olivia was at her desk filling out her DD5's. She watched as Elliot talked to his family on the phone, while doing his paperwork. She had caught some really good teasing for her earlier behavior, but considering how the day was ending it was more than okay.

Their perp arrested and taken to Central Booking, all they needed to focus on right now was filling out their paperwork for Alex to go over. With that thought her mind turned to Alex. Sexual fantasies where normal, she knew that, but lately she had found them lacking unless she began to add elements to them, details that used to be considered irrelevant. Now instead of just hot passionate sweaty sex; there were dates, conversations, going to art shows, the museum, thoughts of spending real time together.

She usually shied away from such thoughts, but part of her liked to think of things like that, especially with Alex. An actual life. Thinking of Elliot and Kathy, a hidden part of Olivia couldn't help but want that too. As Elliot left, Olivia sighed and focused on her paperwork again, still wanting to know.
