Anywhere and Here
By Aleeza

"If I could take you anywhere in the world, it would be Brazil."

Allison craned her neck up from its place on her girlfriend's shoulder to meet her eyes.

"Brazil, huh?"

Remy grinned.

"Yup. The coastline is beautiful. You'll see mountains and rivers and green everywhere."

"You've been?"

"One of my pre-diagnosis carpe diem adventures. A friend of mine and I did a cruise down the Amazon, then spent three weeks hopping around the country."

Allison was smiling as she traced little hearts on Remy's bare skin. She loved when the other woman, who was such a mystery to everyone else, opened up to her.

"So you'd take me to the rainforest, then?" she asked, looking up again.

"Nope," Remy wasn't looking at her, but at the mirror across the room. "I think I'd start with the beaches." It would have been the perfect act of nonchalance, if not for the little smile that was taking root in the corners of her mouth.

"Beaches?"

"Oh yeah. Sand, waves, coconut water—"

"Coconut water?"

"You'll like it. Trust me. As I was saying, water, suntan lotion, tons of hot men and women walking around practically naked…"

"Hey!" Allison flipped over onto Remy so that their faces were at the same level. "Am I not hot enough for you?"

Remy's smile grew and, all of a sudden, she flipped Allison onto her back and straddled her.

"What I meant was there would be you practically naked."

"You have me completely naked right now." Allison smirked.

"That's true." Remy said, shifting down so that her breasts pressed against Allison's, making the other woman moan softly. "We'll just have to take care of that, won't we?"

Allison craned her neck up to kiss her girlfriend but right before their lips met, Remy stopped her.

"Allie," she said, her voice and expression completely serious, "You do know you're all that I want, and always will be, right?"

Smiling reassuringly, Allison reached up to caress Remy's face.

"Yes, I do. And you will always be the same to me."

Allison had never seen anyone smile as big as Remy did in that moment, before the younger women attacked her with soft but searing kisses.

"I love you," Remy whispered.

"I love you too."

And for the rest of the night, no more words were spoken.
